Graffiti US-Tour

Bis zur letzten Minuten haben wir an unseren Leinwänden gemalt. Am Abend kam Manone vorbei, um mit uns die Leinwände in der Galerie aufzuhängen. So gegen Mitternacht hatten wir alle Leinwände hängen und dazu noch vorher alle Leinwände von Vyals vorangegangener Show abgehängt und ins Studio gebracht. Erschöpft von den Sprühdämpfen der frischen Leinwände in der Galerie sind wir dann ausgepowert in unsere Schlafsäcke geklettert.

Am Samstag morgen sind wir dann vom schlimmsten Regen, denn wir je erlebt haben, wachgeworden. Grauer Himmel, kalt und regen regen regen, fast wie in Deutschland. Gegen Mittag sind wir mal wieder bei unserem bevorzugten billig Bagel-Cafe gegenüber der Galerie eingekehrt, um ein Interview fuer LA's TV show "The HipHop Show" zu geben.

Die Vernissage begann recht früh. Mit mehr und mehr Leuten füllte sich der Raum und schon standen zig Leute im Hinterhof und vor dem Gebäude. So gegen 5 Uhr war der Laden gerammelt voll mit Leuten, das Catering wurde geplündert, der DJ und die Mc's gaben den Ton an. Laut Expertenmeinung, waren alle wichtigen Crews LA's da um unsere Sachen abzuschecken. Illustere Namen wie: CBS, COI, AWR, MSK, SH, Chaz, Persue, Ben, Mear, Dave Kinsey, Brisk, Abel, Vox, Tumor, 125, Fusionists, Koks… und viele andere. Im Schnitt hatten wir immer so um die 150 Besucher da, auch am Tag darauf, Sonntags.

Manone hatte für den engeren Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis ein kleines BBQ organisirt. Den Abend haben wir dann in einem Live-club beendet (Happy B-Day Carnal Asylum).

English: We painted on our canvases till the last minute. In the evening Manone showed up and we went to the gallery to hang and arrange our canvases. Arround Midnight all the work was done and we went exhausted from work and paint fumes in our sleepingbags.

On Saturday we went to our favorite Coffee-Bagel place next to the gallery to have breakfast and wash our clothes in the laundary. The weather was kinda German. Massive full on hardcore rain rain rain, and no sun. At Noon we went to the gallery to make an Interview for "The HipHop Show" broadcastet in and arround LA on TV. More and more People entered the Gallery and the Room filled up soon. Around 5 o'clock it was packed, the catering was crowed, Dj's spinning, Mc's hosting, the Vibes were fresh. Everyone was there and showed support like: CBS, COI, AWR, MSK, SH, Chaz, Persue, Ben, Mear, Dave Kinsey, Brisk, Abel, Vox, Tumor, 125, Fusionists, Koks, and many many more we didn't recon by the face. In the evening till the end of the Vernissage we had always at least arround 150 people there. Lots of them showed up on Sunday to check the artwork again, in a more quiet atmosphere.

Manone had organized a "Post-Opening Show" BBQ. We chilled with Casey, Chaz and other friends. In the evening we checked out the Tourist Toy Stores at the Universal Studios, on our search which still plays "gangs of newyork". We ended up in Club chilling with some Writer friends of Asylum, which became in that night 29. (Happy B-Day Carnal)

We finished the evening at the Studio with a 2 hour e-mail answering marathon.
